2008 Snow White's Garden Collection - Coasters, Latern, Wind Chimes and More

It was in 2008 that the Disney Store creative team--led by Principle Designer Steve Thompson--unveiled the multi-piece "Snow White's Garden Collection" ensemble. The series included lawn figures, a bird house and feeder, coaster set, tea light holder, wind chimes, thermometer, and garden marker. We'll have a closer look at all of these over the next few posts.

Coaster Set...

The 6-piece coaster set is made up of matte-finish ceramic tiles featuring Snow, the Prince, Queen, Grumpy, Dopey, and Doc. They are kept inside a heavy wooden storage box with carvings on the four sides. The design is based on the California Craftsman style of architecture which was popular in the 1930s when the movie was initially released. The lid has an additional green Snow White tile set into the top. Tiles measure about 4" x 4"; box exterior 5.75" x 5.5" and 4.5" high.
