Vintage Steel Housekeeping Toys by Wolverine

Wolverine Toy of Booneville, Akansas was licensed by Disney, circa 1970, to produce a line of metal housekeeping toys featuring lithographed images of Snow White and the dwarfs. The set included a stove, refrigerator, sink, and iron with ironing board.

NOTE: Illustrations of a kitchen cabinet and a clothes washer were also shown on the cardboard packaging for these toys. However, these two toys don't appear to be part of this Snow White-themed set.

Stove NO. 500. The stove measures approx. 11.5" x 6.5" x 11.5" tall and comes with a hinged plastic door. Authenticity imprints are found on one side and read : "© WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS WOLVERINE TOY BOONEVILLE, ARKANSAS 72927 U.S.A., DIVISION SPANG INDUSTRIES, INC NO.500". It also has the letters "A, B, C" with a series or dots after each.

  3. I didn't have the Snow White one, but I had Little Bo Peep. I figure it had to have been made by the same company because the stove looked so familiar to me!

  4. Ronni-- I looked at your flickr pic of the Bo Peep stove and I'd say you were correct. It sure appears to be the same design by Wolverine Toy.
